This animal & coffee loving couple from Brooklyn purchased a home in Upstate New York where they could get away and enjoy nature. They wanted it to feel modern yet comfortable & a peaceful retreat. Nina designed the open floor plan to include a proper Entry space with designated places to hang coats & put muddy boots, a reading nook complete with a classic green mohair Eames chair & a Living Room area with a custom sofa that makes the most of the space & surrounding views. The color palette incorporates soft tones that pick up the surrounding landscape. Custom wide linen roman shades diffuse the light, soften the space & provide privacy. In the bedroom, Nina designed custom wall-mounted bedside tables made out of walnut & custom draperies to warm up the space and provide light control for sleeping-in on the weekends.
