This Rhinecliff home was designed as a quiet weekend retreat for a young Brooklyn-based family seeking space to slow down, gather, and reconnect. Purchased as a new build, the house offered a clean slate — allowing us to layer warmth, texture, and personality throughout while keeping the overall feeling relaxed, family-friendly, and deeply livable.
The clients envisioned a home that felt easy and inviting, with subtle bohemian touches balanced by modern lines — a place where everyday life, entertaining, and future family moments could unfold naturally. Our approach focused on comfort, durability, and thoughtful details that elevate the experience of each space without sacrificing function.
SCOPE OF WORK
The design blends earthy materials, soft curves, and layered textiles with moments of contrast — metal accents, tailored lighting, and custom millwork — creating a home that feels both grounded and refined. Throughout the house, we prioritized pieces and finishes that invite use rather than perfection, ensuring the home could grow with the family over time.
